On Sunday (May 19), Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's helicopter met with an accident in Jolfa, a border area near Azerbaijan. Ultimately, his death was reported.

Before the confirmation of Raisi's death following the helicopter crash, Rick Scott launched a personal attack against him. In a post on social media, he stated that the world would become a safer place if Raisi died and that no one respects him. He added that no one would remember Raisi after his death, and the ordinary people of Iran would be free from a murderous dictator.

It is worth mentioning that Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and the Governor of East Azerbaijan Province were also reportedly on the helicopter with President Raisi. They were returning from inaugurating a reservoir project in Azerbaijan near the border.
