New Delhi, June 8, 2024 —Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his recent success in India's Lok Sabha elections. Musk expressed his commendation through a social media post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, NDTV reported.

"Congratulations to you for winning the world's largest democratic election," Musk wrote. He also highlighted his interest in investing in India and mentioned plans to visit the country later this year. During his visit, Musk intends to meet with Prime Minister Modi.

This follows a previous meeting between Musk and Modi in the United States in June last year. During that meeting, Tesla and Starlink, Musk's satellite communication service, discussed entering the Indian market. Musk also urged the Indian government to consider reducing import duties on Tesla vehicles.
