London, July 8, 2024 – Speculation about the relationship between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has intensified following reports in British media outlets The Sun and The Mirror. The couple, who left the royal family and relocated to California in June 2020, are rumored to be experiencing significant strain in their marriage.

Famed author Tom Quinn told The Mirror that the couple is facing difficulties because their lives in the U.S. are not unfolding as planned. “Harry and Meghan have had a rift because their lives are not going as they had hoped. Meghan loves media attention but hates the fact that she and Harry are no longer of much interest to the American public,” Quinn said.

After stepping down from their royal duties, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a $20 million deal encompassing social media, TV shows, podcasts, cooking shows, Meghan's lifestyle brand, and Prince Harry's polo show on Spotify. However, they have reportedly struggled to maintain public interest, contributing to tensions between them. 

British historian and biographer Hugo Vickers has suggested that Prince Harry might return to the UK without Meghan. "I think he will come home. If he comes home, it will be very good for him. Besides, I think he is quite angry at the moment. And yes, he will return home alone," Vickers told The Sun. He added that the door remains open for Prince Harry’s return to the royal fold.

Adding fuel to the speculation, the couple did not publicly acknowledge their fifth wedding anniversary on May 19. Neither shared any celebratory messages or photos, a stark contrast to their previous public displays of affection. Last year, they also refrained from sharing family photos on their anniversary.
