Gaza Strip, 16 July – The death toll in the Gaza Strip continues to rise as Israeli attacks intensify. Since October 7, the number of Palestinians killed has surpassed 38,664, with at least 80 more lives lost in recent attacks. This information was reported by the Turkish media outlet Anadolu Agency, citing the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

According to the Ministry of Health, the attacks have also left 89,097 people injured. Many remain trapped under rubble and on the streets, unreachable by rescuers due to ongoing hostilities.

In addition to conventional strikes, Israeli forces have employed a special type of drone to target Palestinians who are attempting to aid the wounded and recover the dead. The drone, known as a 'Quadcopter,' resembles a mini helicopter and is capable of shooting and killing multiple targets.

The Euromed Human Rights Monitor warned in February of Israel's increasing use of these quadcopters. Described as “small killer drones equipped with machine guns and missiles,” these unmanned vehicles are being used systematically to kill Palestinians in Gaza.

This escalation in the use of drone technology marks a troubling development in the ongoing conflict, further complicating rescue efforts and adding to the civilian toll. As the situation in Gaza remains dire, the international community continues to call for an end to the violence and for measures to protect civilian lives.
