Kaluga, July 25 — A military Mi-28 helicopter has crashed in an uninhabited area of southwestern Russia, resulting in the death of one crew member. This incident was confirmed by TASS, citing a source from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The helicopter went down in the Kaluga region, located approximately 150 kilometers (93 miles) from the Ukrainian border, on Thursday. TASS reported that one crew member lost their life in the crash.
According to the Interfax news agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense has indicated that a technical error is suspected to be the cause of the crash, based on initial investigations. The authorities have already initiated a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
