Paris, July 26 – Violent attacks on France's railway network have caused severe disruptions, affecting at least 800,000 travelers, according to French media outlet France-24, citing SNCF, the French railway service provider.

The attacks included acts of arson and occurred just hours before the opening ceremony of this year's Olympics. SNCF described the incident as an "appalling attack" that has crippled its TGV (high-speed train) network. The company reported that numerous train journeys on many routes had to be canceled as a result.

SNCF's statement mentioned that efforts are being made to divert trains to alternative lines off the main routes. However, despite these efforts, a significant number of trains have still had to be canceled, causing widespread inconvenience to passengers.
