Oct 7,V7N- Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Luis Enrique remained optimistic after his team's 1-1 draw against Nice on Sunday, which saw them lose their top position in Ligue 1. PSG now sits in second place with 17 points, two points behind leaders AS Monaco.

In a post-match press conference, Enrique reflected on the season's early stages, stating, "We are at the beginning of the season. The start seems promising to me. I like what I see. I think it's a much better start than last season." Despite the draw, he acknowledged that the team struggled to find their rhythm, noting that while they equalized in the second half through a goal from Nuno Mendes, set up by Ousmane Dembele, the players committed several uncharacteristic mistakes.

"There was a level of inaccuracy from most of the players that was not usual, with many simple technical errors and easy passes that we typically handle well," Enrique commented. However, he expressed pride in his players' response after a poor first half, emphasizing that it was too early in the season to assess their performances critically. "I'm especially proud after a bad first half. A really bad one. I'm proud of their spirit.

They concentrated on the game, on trying to turn it around."Enrique stressed that evaluations should be reserved for the end of the season, insisting, "The important thing is to win the league. The most important thing is to be in contention for all the titles."Looking ahead, PSG will face Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on October 19, followed by a Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven three days later.
