Oct 08, V7N- Major League Soccer (MLS) has set a new attendance record for the 2024 season, with over 11 million fans attending games, surpassing the previous record of 10.9 million set in 2023. The league has averaged 23,240 fans per game, marking the first time in history that MLS has broken the 11 million-fan barrier.

The rise in attendance has been attributed to the arrival of international stars like Lionel Messi, whose participation has led to fixtures being moved to larger stadiums, as well as clubs' efforts to create more fan-friendly ticket packages and enhanced game-day experiences. With 16 regular season matches still remaining, this record-breaking trend is expected to continue until the season's conclusion on October 19.

This marks the third consecutive year that MLS has drawn more than 10 million fans to its games.
