Oct 17, V7N- Atletico Madrid has decided not to sell tickets to season ticket holders for their next five away matches following two sanctions imposed by UEFA and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). The LaLiga club received a €30,000 fine, along with a suspended ban on selling tickets for away UEFA competition matches, after some fans displayed "racist discriminatory" behavior during their 4-0 loss to Benfica in the Champions League.

Additionally, Atletico was penalized earlier this month by the RFEF, requiring them to play their next three home games with partial stadium closures due to objects being thrown onto the pitch during a match against Real Madrid.

In a statement on Wednesday, the club expressed that these incidents have caused significant harm to Atletico's reputation and the majority of its fans, who are noted for exemplary behavior. Atletico emphasized the importance of protecting the club’s image and stated that this ticketing measure will remain in place until those responsible are identified.
