Nov 13, V7N- Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir and the San Francisco 49ers have agreed to a five-year, $92 million contract extension, as reported by multiple media outlets on Tuesday night. The new deal keeps Lenoir in the Bay Area through the 2029 season, with an average annual salary of about $18.4 million, making him the 12th-highest paid cornerback in the NFL.
 
At just 25 years old, Lenoir has emerged as a key figure in the 49ers' defense. This season, he has recorded two interceptions, 53 tackles, six pass defenses, and one forced fumble in nine games, all of which he started. 
 
The 49ers drafted Lenoir in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft out of Oregon. Over his 56 career games (41 starts), he has accumulated six interceptions, 233 tackles, 23 passes defended, one sack, and one forced fumble. Lenoir is currently in his fourth season in the NFL.
