World number one Iga Swiatek demonstrated her dominance at the ATP-WTA Indian Wells Masters by defeating Marta Kostyuk 6-2, 6-1 on Friday to secure her spot in the final.

The four-time Grand Slam champion, who previously claimed the Indian Wells title in 2022, needed just 69 minutes to overpower the 32nd-ranked Ukrainian Kostyuk.

Swiatek will now await the outcome of the match between US Open champion Coco Gauff and Maria Sakkari of Greece to determine her opponent in Sunday's final.

Despite cloudy and chilly conditions, Swiatek's performance remained scorching hot, as she delivered a flawless display, hitting 14 winners with only six unforced errors and not facing a single break point.

Expressing her confidence and positive mindset, Swiatek described it as one of her cleanest matches. Her relentless precision and power put Kostyuk under constant pressure, resulting in Swiatek's victory without dropping a set throughout the tournament.

Despite a brief medical timeout for Kostyuk, Swiatek maintained her composure, securing a convincing win with her fifth break of Kostyuk's serve. Swiatek's remarkable form in recent tournaments, including her triumph in Doha and strong showing in Dubai, highlights her resurgence after a disappointing Australian Open exit, with her 19 match wins this year standing as the most among WTA players.
