Turin, Oct 31 (V7N)- Italian Serie A club Juventus has officially appointed Luciano Spalletti as its new head coach, the club announced in a statement on Thursday.

According to a report by Reuters, the veteran Italian manager has signed a contract with Juventus until June 2026, with an option to extend based on performance.

Spalletti, who previously served as the head coach of the Italian national team, also boasts managerial experience with top clubs such as Inter Milan and Napoli, where he led the latter to a Serie A title.

Juventus made the decision to appoint a new coach after winning only two of their last ten matches. Spalletti has initially joined on an eight-month deal, with the long-term contract to take effect following an evaluation of his performance.
