Tehran, Oct 01 (V7N) – Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Nasser Kanyani, declared that Israel would not escape punishment for its crimes during a press conference held on Monday in Tehran. Kanyani issued the statement in response to recent Israeli actions, including the killing of Hezbollah leader Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah. He affirmed that Iran would continue its political and legal efforts, while also preparing to take "appropriate and decisive action."
"Israel will be punished for its many crimes," Kanyani said, adding that Tehran would respond to these offenses through various means. The spokesman urged Muslim countries around the world to unite in response to the escalating violence in Gaza and other regions, calling the lack of action from the Muslim world disappointing.
"The Palestinian people are repeatedly calling on the Muslim countries to punish Israel, but they are not getting any response," Kanyani emphasized.
Kanyani also criticized the role of the United States, accusing Washington of obstructing the United Nations Security Council from taking meaningful action against Israel. He pointed out that Israeli attacks have expanded beyond Gaza, with strikes reported in Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen, and warned that Israel does not intend to limit the conflict to a single region.
Tehran has been a staunch supporter of the Palestinian cause throughout the Gaza war. However, Kanyani noted that while Iran has actively supported the Palestinians, many other Muslim countries have remained silent or inactive.
"Iran seeks to maintain peace, stability, and security in the region, but it is clear that Israel's continued aggression must be addressed," Kanyani concluded.
The situation in the region remains tense, with Iran calling on global Muslim nations to act in unison to counter Israeli actions, as the conflict shows no sign of de-escalation.
