Jerusalem, Oct 04 (V7N) — Following Iran's massive missile strike on Israeli territory, Israel has imposed censorship on the dissemination of information related to the damage caused by the attack. Middle East Eye reports that Israeli authorities have restricted the release of details concerning the impact of more than 180 ballistic missiles fired by Iran on Tuesday evening. This has left observers with little information on the extent of the damage.

The missiles, which targeted several locations, including the capital Tel Aviv, led to the closure of military installations to the public. Despite Israel's claims of intercepting most of the missiles, videos circulating on social media show rockets hitting targets in occupied areas. One prominent target was Navatim Air Base, a key site housing Israel's F-35 fighter jets. Reports indicate significant damage at the airbase, though Israeli authorities have kept details under wraps.

The missile barrage from Iran was in retaliation for the killing of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and several Lebanese civilians. Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that 90 percent of the missiles hit their intended targets. Furthermore, the IRGC warned Israel of more severe consequences if further action is taken.

The Israeli government has since declared a state of emergency, maintaining strict control over information on the attack’s effects while preparing potential responses to the Iranian strikes.
