Hezbollah launched a barrage of rockets and drones into northern Israel on Saturday, killing one person, with one of the drones reportedly aimed at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's holiday home, according to his spokesman. This assault coincides with the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza against Hamas. Israeli airstrikes in Gaza killed more than 30 people, according to local health officials.

The escalating violence between Israel and militant groups Hamas and Hezbollah continues to stoke fears of prolonged conflict, despite the recent death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar. Sinwar, considered one of the masterminds behind the October 7, 2023, attack that triggered the latest Gaza war, was killed by Israeli forces on Wednesday.

In Gaza, Israel has increased pressure on hospitals in Jabalia, where Israeli forces are bombarding homes and preventing medical and food supplies from entering. This comes as Israel intensifies its offensive to weaken Hamas forces regrouping in the area, with assurances from the Israeli military that efforts are being made to mitigate civilian casualties.

Meanwhile, in Lebanon, Israeli strikes near the Christian-majority town of Jounieh resulted in the deaths of at least two people, marking the first such strike in that region. Witnesses reported seeing passengers flee from a car after a blast, followed by a second explosion that left one passenger dead. Israeli officials are investigating the strike, and Hezbollah, engaged in fighting Israeli troops along Lebanon's southern border, has not yet commented.
