Nov 11, V7N-Israeli airstrikes on Sunday in northern Gaza reportedly killed at least 40 Palestinians, including 24 people in a three-story residential building in Jabalia, according to Palestinian health officials and the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR). The strike injured another 30 people in neighboring buildings. Israeli military stated that it targeted a site in Jabalia due to “terrorist activity” in the area, asserting that those involved posed a threat to Israeli Defense Forces.

In Gaza City’s Sabra neighborhood, an airstrike on the home of Wael Al-Khour, a welfare ministry official, reportedly killed him, his family members, and three grandchildren. The Israeli military is reviewing the incident. Additionally, ongoing conflict and restrictions have impacted Gaza's healthcare system, with the Palestinian Red Crescent facilitating evacuations from hospitals facing shortages of food, medical supplies, and fuel due to prolonged blockades.

Hamas’ military wing claimed to have killed 15 Israeli soldiers in Beit Lahiya, though this has not been confirmed by Israeli sources. Efforts by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States to negotiate a ceasefire have stalled, as Qatar announced it would halt mediation until both sides show a commitment to serious dialogue.

The current conflict follows the initial October 2023 attacks by Hamas on Israeli communities, which killed approximately 1,200 Israelis and resulted in 253 hostages, according to Israeli reports. The subsequent Israeli response has led to widespread destruction in Gaza, with Palestinian health authorities reporting approximately 43,500 Palestinian deaths.
