Oslo, Nov 20 (V7N)- Marius Borg Hoiby, the 27-year-old son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit, has been arrested on charges of rape, according to a report by CNN. The arrest took place on Monday night, local time.

Norwegian police allege that Borg Hoiby violated criminal laws by engaging in sexual activity with a person who was unconscious or otherwise unable to defend themselves. The 20-year-old victim, represented by lawyer Hege Solomon, stated that she met Borg Hoiby for the first time on the day of the incident and had no prior acquaintance with him.
