Dubai, Jan 27 (V7N) — The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been enhancing its Golden Visa program, adding three new categories aimed at attracting exceptional talent and fostering economic growth. This strategic long-term residency initiative now offers specialized opportunities for teachers, gaming professionals, and luxury yacht owners, reinforcing the UAE's commitment to innovation and economic diversification.
1. Golden Visa for Teachers
As of October 2024, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has introduced the Golden Visa for outstanding teachers in Dubai. This long-term residency option is available to both school and university educators who have significantly contributed to the private education sector. Eligible applicants will be assessed based on their academic achievements, innovative contributions to education, and efforts to enhance educational quality. The visa is renewable every 10 years and allows the holder to live, work, and sponsor their family members.
2. Dubai Gaming Visa
To support the rapidly growing e-sports industry, the UAE has launched the 'Dubai Gaming Visa' as part of the Gaming 2033 program. This 10-year Golden Visa is designed for professionals working in the gaming sector, further positioning Dubai as a global hub for digital innovation and entertainment. The initiative was launched by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and aims to attract top-tier talent to the city.
3. Golden Visa for Luxury Yacht Owners
Luxury yacht owners can now benefit from a 10-year Golden Visa through the 'Abu Dhabi Golden Quay' initiative. This program, launched by the Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi), is aimed at high-net-worth individuals interested in investing in the emirate. The initiative seeks to strengthen Abu Dhabi's position as a leading destination for luxury tourism and lifestyle investments.
These new categories under the UAE’s Golden Visa program underscore the country’s commitment to attracting skilled professionals and investors to drive its long-term economic and cultural development.
