Islamabad, Aug 16 (V7N) – Pakistan has strongly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his comments on the so-called “Greater Israel” vision, which envisions Israel annexing territory beyond its current borders.

In a statement, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said the country “strongly condemns and rejects” Netanyahu’s remarks and called on the international community to “completely reject” such provocative ideas. The ministry described the plan as a clear violation of international law, the basic principles of the UN Charter, and relevant UN resolutions.

The statement noted that Netanyahu’s recent remarks to an Israeli news channel reflected Israel’s “intention to perpetuate its illegal occupation and its utter disregard for international efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.”

Earlier this year, Tel Aviv released a map of “Greater Israel,” which includes territories of Palestine, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon.
