Moscow, Oct 07 (V7N) – Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday to discuss the US-proposed peace plan for Gaza, the Kremlin confirmed.

During the conversation, Putin reaffirmed Russia's support for a just resolution to the Palestinian issue.

The leaders also addressed the Iranian nuclear program, steps to restore stability in Syria, and other pressing matters in the Middle East.

This marks the second high-level phone discussion between Putin and Netanyahu this year, following an earlier call in August.
