A tragic head-on collision between a freight train and a passenger train in the Czech Republic has resulted in the deaths of four people and injuries to at least 26 others. The incident was reported by US-based media outlet CNN.

The collision occurred on Wednesday, June 5, in the city of Pardubice, approximately 100 kilometers from the capital city of Prague. The passenger train was en route from Prague to western Ukraine, carrying over 300 passengers, including numerous foreigners.

The trains collided head-on as they approached the border with Slovakia. The impact of the collision led to the immediate deaths of four individuals, with 26 others sustaining injuries. Among the injured, three are reported to be in critical condition.
