Hamas is scrutinizing all the proposals discussed in the French capital Paris meeting on the cease-fire in the Palestinian Gaza Strip. Qatar-based Al Jazeera television gave this news about Ismail Hania, the top leader of the political wing of the Palestinian Liberation Armed Group.

Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas's politburo, said in a statement that they are examining new proposals for a ceasefire. And in this case, the issue of the permanent cessation of Israel's aggression in Gaza and the complete withdrawal of the army will be taken into consideration first. Hamas will announce their decision soon.

Haniya said Hamas was ready to negotiate on the basis of any serious and practical initiative, which would revolve around a ceasefire, the exchange of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel in Gaza and the reconstruction process of the besieged Gaza Strip. Hamas wants a 'complete and comprehensive' ceasefire.

The political head of Hamas confirmed that he has received an invitation to visit Cairo, the Egyptian capital, to reach a unified vision at the Paris talks and to discuss the need to implement a possible agreement.

Earlier on Monday, Hamas rejected an offer to release Israeli hostages and said that before any exchange deal could be offered, the Israeli attack on Gaza must stop and its troops must be withdrawn from the entire territory. Besides, they will not accept any agreement.

Israel proposed the release of the hostages in Paris, France on Sunday local time. A draft proposal for a hostage exchange was presented to Hamas in the presence of officials from the United States, Qatar and Egypt, but the Palestinian independence organization Hamas rejected it.

Taher al-Nun, a high-ranking official of Hamas' Qassam Brigades, said that Hamas is ready to end the war in Gaza, but it must be a complete ceasefire, which is not possible with any proposal for a temporary ceasefire. War must stop first. Then there will be a detailed discussion on the rest including the release of hostages.

Although the Paris talks collapsed on Sunday, a new formula was created on the following Monday. The Prime Minister of Qatar said that they will hand over the new contract to Hamas. He hopes Hamas will accept the agreement and act accordingly.

Meanwhile, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani said significant progress has been made on a possible new agreement on the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and prisoner exchange in the Gaza Strip. He said this at an event of the Atlantic Council in Washington on Monday.

He said that there has been a satisfactory discussion between all the parties regarding the agreement. The intelligence chiefs of the United States, Egypt, and Israel met in Paris at the end of last week to discuss this matter. Under this agreement, phased ceasefire, first release of women and children is said. It also included sending humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
