Patuakhali, Dec 22, (V7N) - An Assistant Agriculture Officer named Milon Hossain (30) lost his life in a road accident in Bauphal, Patuakhali. The incident occurred around 7 AM on Sunday at Bhubon Saha’s Kachari area in Bauphal Sadar Union. Milon Hossain, a resident of the Mehendiganj area of Barisal, was serving as an Assistant Agriculture Officer. He was the son of Shahabuddin Hossain, a former member of the Suryamoni Union in Bauphal.

According to sources, Milon was traveling to his workplace in an auto-rickshaw on Sunday morning when the vehicle collided head-on with an ambulance coming from the opposite direction. The auto-rickshaw was severely damaged in the crash, and Milon sustained serious injuries. He was quickly rushed to the Bauphal Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Milon had joined the service as an Assistant Agriculture Officer in 2018. He is survived by his wife and a 3-year-old daughter. His untimely death has cast a shadow of sorrow over the local community.

Bauphal Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge Kamal Hossain confirmed the incident, stating that both the ambulance and auto-rickshaw drivers fled the scene. Efforts are underway to apprehend them.
