Dhaka, Jan 13 (V7N)-The recently formed independent inquiry commission that will reinvestigate the 2009 Pilkhana massacre held a courtesy meeting with Chief of Army Staff Waker-Uz-Zaman on Monday.
The delegation was led by Major General (Retd) ALM Fazlur Rahman, the commission's chairman.
During the meeting, they discussed several important matters and sought the cooperation of the Bangladesh Army in conducting the investigation.
The army chief assured the committee of full support from the army for the smooth progress of the investigation.
The commission members present at the meeting included Major General (Retd) Md Jahangir Kabir Talukder, Brigadier General (Retd) Md Saidur Rahman, Bir Protik; former joint secretary Munshi Alauddin Al Azad; former DIG Dr M Akbar Ali; Associate Professor Md Shariful Islam from Dhaka University's Political Science Department; and Assistant Professor Md Shahnewaz Khan Chandon from Jagannath University.
