An official stated on Thursday that a pick-up truck toppled in Dindori, Madhya Pradesh, resulting in at least 14 fatalities and 20 injuries.
Around 1:30 in the morning, the pick-up truck lost control and flipped over near Badjhar Ghat in Dindori. According to Vikas Mishra, Dindori Collector, the injured are now receiving treatment at Shahpura Community Health Centre.
"Dr. Mohan Yadav has sent his sincere condolences to the families of those killed in a car accident in the Dindori district.
The deceased's family will get an ex-gratia payment of Rs 4 lakh.
The district administration has received instructions for providing the injured with the right care," he said on social media site X.
For medical attention, the injured individuals were brought to the Shahpura Community Health Centre.
When the tragedy occurred, the victims were on their way back from Amhai Devri village, where they had gone to participate in a program in the Shahpura block of the district.
The superintendent of police and Dindori collector hurried to assist the victims as soon as they learned about the tragedy.
"It's an extremely terrible traffic accident in Dindori, Madhya Pradesh. I send the families of the deceased my sympathies. I hope everyone who has been hurt gets well soon.
The local government is tasked with giving the victims all support possible, overseen by the state government, as stated by the prime minister.
