Faridpur, Jun 04 (V7N) – Five people, including a father and son, were killed and at least four others injured in a tragic road accident involving a passenger bus and a Mahindra three-wheeler in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur on Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred at Bablatla Bus Stand on the Barisal-Dhaka highway, confirmed Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rokibuzzaman of the Bhanga Highway Police Station.
The deceased have been identified as:

Mizanur Matubbar (50), son of Latif Matubbar of Chowkighata village, Gharua Union, Bhanga upazila

Ibrahim Sardar (70) and his son Monir Sardar (40) of Shibchar, Madaripur
-
Tar Mia (50), son of Badsha Mia from the same area

One unidentified man, estimated to be around 45 years old
According to police, a Dhaka-bound transport bus from Barisal collided head-on with a Mahindra three-wheeler traveling from Bhanga to Tekerhat. All five fatalities were passengers of the Mahindra.
Four others sustained injuries and were rushed to the Bhanga Upazila Health Complex for treatment.
Efforts are underway to identify the fifth deceased person and to seize the bus involved in the collision. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
This fatal crash highlights ongoing concerns about road safety on national highways, especially involving small vehicles and high-speed long-distance buses.
