Dhaka, July 21, (V7N) – An Air Force training aircraft crashed on Monday around 1 pm at the temporary campus area of Milestone School and College in Uttara, the capital.

The aircraft, reportedly an F-7 BGI (701) model, caught fire immediately after the crash. Initial reports indicate Squadron Leader Taukir was on board, but it remains unclear if there were other occupants.

Local residents rushed to the scene following the incident. Unconfirmed reports on social media suggested that several civilians sustained injuries and were being taken to nearby hospitals. However, official confirmation of casualties is yet to be received.

Fire Service officials deployed eight units from Uttara, Tongi, Pallabi, Kurmitola, Mirpur, and Purbachal fire stations to the crash site. Rescue and fire suppression operations are ongoing.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
