Dhaka, Aug 02 (V7N) – A fire that broke out at the Sundarban Square Market in Gulistan was successfully brought under control on Saturday after an hour-long effort by the fire service.

The blaze started around 10 AM on the fifth floor of the market. The fire service promptly received the report and dispatched its first unit, which arrived quickly at the scene. Gradually, a total of 11 fire service units gathered at the location to tackle the fire.

By 11 AM, the fire was largely contained. Large crowds gathered near the market following news of the incident, but law enforcement agencies were deployed promptly to maintain order and prevent chaos.

Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. Authorities from the fire service have announced that they will hold a briefing soon to provide further details on the incident.
