Sylhet, Nov 26 (V7N) – A head-on collision between a private car and a truck in the Malnichhara Tea Garden area on Sylhet Airport Road left one person dead and five others injured on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred around 7:00 am.

The critically injured car passenger, Mahfuz Mia (22) from Pechi Sheora village, Jagannathpur, Sunamganj, was rescued by locals and taken to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries at 10:30 am. The police later sent his body to the hospital morgue for postmortem examination.

According to police, the private car was traveling toward Sylhet Osmani International Airport with passengers, while the truck was heading toward Sylhet city. The vehicles collided head-on near the Malnichhara Tea Garden, causing the car to crumple and passengers to be thrown onto the road. Authorities are investigating the incident.
