Habiganj, Dec 10 (V7N) – A 20-year-old man, Himel, was killed in a severe road accident after losing control of a car and crashing into a tree in Madhabpur upazila. The accident occurred around noon on Tuesday near Dharmagarh Bazar on the Dharmagarh–Harushpur road.

The deceased, Himel, was the son of Mohon Mia from the Sowabui Molla family. Another young man, Enayetullah, 22, from Harushpur Anandgram, sustained injuries in the crash.

Eyewitnesses reported that both were taking driving training in the car when it suddenly went out of control and struck a roadside tree. Both sustained serious injuries and were rescued by local residents, who took them to Madhabpur Upazila Health Complex. The attending doctors declared Himel dead upon arrival.

Kasimnagar Police Outpost in-charge Md. Mostafa confirmed that police inspected the scene after receiving information about the accident. The vehicle has been seized, and necessary legal action will be taken.

The incident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety and the importance of supervised driving training for young drivers.
