Marine Drive, June 8, (V7N)- A tragic accident occurred on Saturday evening (June 8) at 5 pm on Cox's Bazar Marine Drive Road, resulting in the death of a tourist named Tushar and serious injuries to another tourist named Jahed.

Both of them had come from Comilla to Cox's Bazar to spend time.

Eyewitnesses reported that Tushar and Jahed had rented a motorcycle from Kolatoli and were touring Marine Drive when they collided with a CNJ motorcycle. As a result of the collision, Tushar, the tourist, was killed.

Later, locals rescued them and took Tushar to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital, where the duty doctor declared him dead. Jahed was transferred to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.

Mainly, underage and unlicensed drivers are provided with motorcycles for rent on Cox's Bazar Marine Drive Road. This often results in accidents, causing harm to both tourists and locals alike. Despite various campaigns conducted by the Cox's Bazar administration regarding this issue, motorcycles are still being rented out on Marine Drive Road.
