Tangail June 9,(V7N)- A lychee businessman has died in a train-auto rickshaw collision in Kalihati, Tangail. The accident occurred around 6 AM on Sunday (June 9) near the Masinda area of the upazila involving an Ekota Express train. Two others have been seriously injured in the incident.
 
The deceased has been identified as Abu Taleb, hailing from Chatihati village of the upazila. The two seriously injured individuals have been admitted to Tangail General Hospital.
 
According to Mohammad Belal Hossain, team leader of Elenga Fire Service, Abu Taleb was traveling from Elenga Bazar to Chatihati to buy lychee. While on the way to Masinda, their auto-rickshaw collided with an Ekota Express train from Rajshahi. As a result, three people, including the driver, were seriously injured. Later, they were rescued and taken to Tangail General Hospital, where Abu Taleb succumbed to his injuries. The other two are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
 
It is noteworthy that the body has been kept in Tangail General Hospital's morgue for autopsy. After legal procedures, the body will be handed over to the deceased's family, as informed by Officer-in-Charge Atiqur Rahman of the hospital police outpost.
