Cox’s Bazar, Sep 04 (V7N) - A tourist from Mirpur has gone missing after getting caught in the waves at Cox’s Bazar beach. During the incident, Sea-Safe Life Guard personnel managed to rescue another person who was in a critical condition.
 
On Wednesday (September 4), Sojib Hossain (26) and Nesar Ahmed (25) were swimming at Sugandha Point when they were pulled under by the strong waves. The Sea-Safe Life Guard team, alerted to the situation, succeeded in rescuing Nesar Ahmed but has been unable to locate Sojib, who remains missing.
 
Sojib Hossain, a resident of Mirpur 11 in Dhaka, had arrived in Cox’s Bazar with seven friends on a motorbike ride the previous day. After having lunch today, they went to the beach where this accident occurred, according to Nesar.
 
Following Sojib’s disappearance, both tourist police and life guard personnel have been conducting searches along the beach. Meanwhile, Sojib’s friends have also been actively participating in the rescue operations.
