Netrakona, Jan 27, (V7N) - On Sunday, January 26th, at 11 AM, a human chain was formed at the central Shaheed Minar premises in Netrakona, protesting against the artificial fertilizer crisis created by unscrupulous traders who have been selling fertilizers at inflated prices since the beginning of the Boro season.

The human chain was organized by the Netrakona District branch of the "Save the Haor" movement. The event was chaired by Monayem Khan, the central organizational secretary of the "Save the Haor" movement, and conducted by Asaduzzaman Talukder, the joint general secretary of the district committee of the organization.

The human chain featured speeches by several notable figures, including former president of the district press club M. Mukhlisur Rahman Khan, NTv journalist Bhajan Das, president of the Bangladesh Press Club Netrakona district Shamim Talukder, poet Anisur Rahman Babul, farmer's family member Antar Mia, and farmers Abdus Salam, Mohammad Awlad Hossain, and Chan Mia, among others from various walks of life.

Speakers at the event urged the relevant authorities to take immediate action against those involved in creating the artificial fertilizer shortage and overcharging farmers.
