The much-anticipated mango season in Rajshahi has kicked off with a burst of flavor as orchards across the region have begun harvesting the first fruits of the season. Although initially, the pickings are of a smaller variety, the excitement is palpable as anticipation mounts for the arrival of the renowned Gopalbhog mangoes on May 25th.

Reports from the heart of Rajshahi reveal that the market is abuzz with activity, with Guti mangoes making their debut appearance on May 15th. However, not all orchards have commenced harvesting, as some await further maturation of the fruits. Stroll through the Kukhandi and Budhpara areas showcases farmers and traders diligently preparing for the forthcoming bounty.

Shahadat Hossain, a seasoned mango trader, disclosed plans to transport the freshly plucked mangoes to the bustling Baneswar market for sale, albeit in limited quantities on the inaugural day.
