Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that Ansar forces have played an important role in preventing arson and protecting national resources during the hartal-blockade. He also said that this force is contributing to any urgent need of the country.

He said this at the 44th National Assembly of Ansar and Village Defense Forces at Safipur in Gazipur on Monday (February 12). The Prime Minister said that the government wants to protect the country from terrorism, militancy and drugs. The government will continue the fight against corruption. Sheikh Hasina urged the Ansar forces to continue their duties in these matters.

The Prime Minister said that Bangladesh's journey as a developing country will begin. Therefore, every army of the country will become a smart army. The Prime Minister also said that the government is working to make every village of the country a safe and smart village.
