Dhaka, Oct 12 (V7N): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Mainul Islam stated today that there is no way to escape punishment after committing a crime in the country.
Addressing reporters after a visit to Ramkrishna Moth and Temple this morning, the IGP emphasized, "Those involved in illegal activities are few in number, and if we stand united, they will become insignificant. Yesterday's incident is proof of this. We have arrested those responsible and taken swift action. Therefore, anyone attempting to commit crimes will not be able to evade justice."
He further assured that operations against crimes like mugging, extortion, drug trafficking, and other criminal activities, as well as efforts to improve traffic management, will be conducted after Durga Puja.
Additionally, the IGP urged the public to report any sensitive matters, such as extortion or terrorist activities, to the police to ensure effective law enforcement and maintain public safety.
