Dhaka, Nov 20 (V7N) – In a significant development for the interim government, Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus presided over a meeting with the members of the Advisory Council at the Secretariat today. This marks the first time since his swearing-in that Dr. Yunus has met with the Council at the Secretariat.

Previously, the Advisory Council's meetings were held at the State Guest House Jamuna and the Chief Advisor’s office. Today’s meeting, which took place at the Secretariat, saw Dr. Yunus being welcomed by Legal Advisor Dr. Asif Nazrul and Industry Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan.

To ensure the safety and security of the event, stringent security measures were implemented around the Secretariat and its vicinity. In a bid to maintain order, only vehicles of the Advisor, senior officials, and secretaries were allowed to enter, and visitor access was completely restricted for the day.

The meeting marks an important step in the functioning of the interim government and is seen as a move towards furthering the government's policy decisions with the involvement of the Advisory Council.

As of now, no official statement has been released regarding the agenda of the meeting, but sources indicate that key issues related to the government's governance and strategy are on the table.

The interim government continues to operate under close scrutiny, with today’s meeting underscoring the continued importance of security and protocol during official engagements.
