Dhaka, Nov 30 (V7N) – Religious Affairs Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain has assured the nation that all attempts to disrupt communal harmony will be firmly resisted, emphasizing that conspiracies from both domestic and international actors will not succeed.

Addressing the Talented People and Meritorious Student Reception organized by the Baufal Foundation Dhaka at the Multipurpose Hall of the Institution of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) on Saturday morning, Khalid highlighted the country's commitment to unity.

“With the support of the people, all conspiracies will be thwarted. No attempts to destroy communal harmony will be allowed to succeed,” he said.

The adviser reaffirmed the constitutional rights of all citizens, stating, “In our beloved country, people of various religions, castes, and communities coexist. As per the Constitution, everyone has equal rights. People of all faiths have practiced and shared their beliefs with dignity, and they will continue to do so without any hindrance.”

Khalid emphasized that the government will thoroughly investigate any conspiracies or criminal activities, ensuring exemplary punishment through the judicial process for those found guilty.

Turning to the upcoming elections, Khalid assured that the government is committed to ensuring a free, fair, and impartial electoral process. He noted that elections will be held on the date set by the chief adviser, giving people the opportunity to vote for their preferred candidates for the first time in 15-16 years.

The event honored 20 talented individuals, 120 meritorious students, and six martyr families for their contributions and achievements.
