Mohammad Ali Arafat, the state minister for information and broadcasting in Bangladesh, departed for Turkey on Friday to attend the gathering of information ministers from member nations of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Friday morning, he boarded a Turkish Airlines aircraft from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to Istanbul, Turkey, according to an official statement.
The state minister will be in attendance at a special session of the OIC member nations' Islamic Conference of Information Ministers on Saturday.

The subject of the meeting is "Israeli government's disinformation and hostility against journalists during the Israeli occupation of Palestine" .

On the same day, Mohammad Ali Arafat will also meet with the information ministers from Qatar and Turkey.

In addition, on Sunday, February 25, he will visit the Turkish Radio and Television headquarters.

After concluding his tour to Turkey, the state minister is expected to return home on Wednesday, February 28.
