Qatar declared its intention to help Bangladesh establish international media and support media growth there.

According to a statement from the company, the promise was given at a meeting on Saturday afternoon in Turkey between Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Thani Al-Thani, the CEO of Qatar Media Corporation, and State Minister for Information and Broadcasting of Bangladesh, Muhammad Ali Arafat.

The gathering took place in Istanbul, Turkey, alongside the Islamic Conference of Information Ministers from member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

During the meeting, Arafat and Al-Thani held productive talks about how to advance bilateral cooperation between the two nations in light of the formation of international media outlets like Al Jazeera, according to the statement.

Along with the cultural sphere, they also agreed on the knowledge and experience sharing between Bangladesh and Qatar in the media industry.

Additionally, they both expressed optimism that this would help to further enhance the bilateral relations between the two nations.
