Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina addressed the third reunion parade of the Bangladesh Infantry Regiment (BIR) in Rajshahi Cantonment, highlighting the government's commitment to equipping the armed forces with modern technological knowledge. She emphasized the importance of developing the armed forces to effectively handle any situation in the country, stating that various programs are being implemented for this purpose. Additionally, Hasina underscored the armed forces' role in infrastructure development and disaster response, emphasizing their contribution to the nation's progress.

Hasina expressed her belief in the unity of the people to build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh, outlining the government's measures for the armed forces' development. She mentioned the formulation of 'Forces Goal 2030' in line with the defense policy of the Father of the Nation, indicating continuous development efforts for the armed forces.

Highlighting past recognitions, Hasina recalled awarding the Regimental Colour to the BIR in 2009 and conferring the National Flag in 2011. She commended the regiment's performance, noting its 46 units, including two para commando battalions, and urged them to maintain their reputation for skill and patriotism.

During the event, Prime Minister Hasina received a guard of honor and inspected the parade, witnessing the readiness and discipline of the armed forces. She concluded by expressing hope for the continued dedication of the armed forces in serving the nation.
