Rome, Apr 26 (V7N)- Chief Advisor to the Interim Government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, visited the Bangladesh Embassy (Bangladesh House) in Rome on Friday (April 25) during his official trip to Italy.
According to information from the Chief Advisor’s press wing, during his visit, Dr. Yunus signed the visitors' book at the Embassy. Upon his arrival in Rome earlier in the afternoon, he was warmly welcomed by the Bangladesh Ambassador to Italy and Vatican City.
Dr. Yunus is currently in Italy to pay his respects to the body of Pope Francis. He is scheduled to attend the funeral ceremony of Pope Francis today (April 26).
Prior to arriving in Italy, Dr. Yunus had traveled to Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Monday to attend the Arthana Conference. After completing his four-day visit to Qatar, the Chief Advisor and his delegation arrived in Rome to continue their official engagements.
