Dhaka, Apr 27 (V7N) — Muhammad Fauzul Kabir Khan, the advisor in charge of relevant ministries, has issued a directive requiring that any disruptions in customer or passenger services in sectors like electricity, roads, and railways be reported immediately through a television scroll.

The instruction was issued on Sunday (April 27) following incidents that caused significant service disruptions in the past days. It was noted that the metro rail service had been temporarily halted on both Saturday and Sunday, and there had also been a power blackout in the Khulna region.

The advisor expressed concern that neither the relevant ministry secretaries nor the heads of concerned organizations had notified him of these disruptions. He learned about the issues through social media.

Under the new directive, any disruptions to services must be immediately reported through a television scroll, and once services resume, an apology and explanation should also be provided. The instruction emphasized that such services are not a privilege but a responsibility to the public, highlighting the need for transparency and accountability.

Sources from the Ministry of Road Transport indicated that Advisor Fauzul Kabir Khan was particularly upset by the lack of communication during the metro rail and power outage incidents. He has demanded an explanation as to why customers and passengers were not informed of the disruptions, nor were there any expressions of regret or acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused.

These new guidelines aim to ensure better communication and prompt action in the future, avoiding similar situations.
