United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the importance of elevating the relationship with Bangladesh to a partnership level.

During a bilateral meeting with visiting Bangladesh Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud in his royal palace in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, Minister Sheikh Abdullah underscored the significance of signing the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and activating the Joint Business Council (JBC) to foster economic collaboration with Bangladesh.

At the outset of the meeting, which lasted approximately fifteen minutes, Foreign Minister Hasan presented an invitation letter from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah, inviting the UAE President to visit Bangladesh on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations.

Hasan acknowledged the historical bonds between the two countries, forged by their founding fathers, and commended the UAE leadership for its remarkable progress over the past five decades. He also highlighted Bangladesh's notable achievements under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
