Dhaka, July 25 (V7N) – A five-member Chinese medical team, comprising doctors and nurses, has arrived in Dhaka to assist in the treatment of those injured and burned in the recent plane crash at the Milestone School and College campus in Uttara.
The delegation landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday night (July 24). They were received by Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen and Sayeda Jasmine Sultana Milky, Director General of the Global Health Emergency Response Wing of the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In addition to the Chinese team, a three-member Indian medical team arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday evening (July 23). On the same day, a medical delegation from Singapore, also comprising three specialists, reached the capital to provide support to local hospitals treating the injured.
These international medical teams are expected to play a crucial role in assisting Bangladesh’s ongoing efforts to treat the victims of the tragic plane crash, which has already claimed over 33 lives and left dozens severely injured.
