Kuala Lumpur, Aug 12 (V7N) — Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus has urged Malaysian businessmen to explore investment opportunities in Bangladesh, highlighting the country’s vast potential for business growth.

Speaking at a trade and investment meeting held at noon on Tuesday local time in Malaysia, Professor Yunus emphasized that Bangladesh is now ready to welcome foreign investment. The event was organized by the Bangladesh High Commission and the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) as part of the Chief Advisor’s state visit to Malaysia.

Business leaders, including representatives from the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce, attended the dialogue.

The Nobel Peace Prize-winning economist noted that the interim government has implemented various reforms to create a business-friendly environment, paving the way for sustainable economic growth.

“Economic prosperity is essential for building a new Bangladesh,” Professor Yunus said, appealing to Malaysian investors to take advantage of the opportunities in his country.
