Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, a UNDP Goodwill Ambassador, visited the Ukhiya Rohingya camp in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, on Wednesday, March 20.

She traveled from Bhasan Char in Noakhali to the Ukhiya Rohingya camp at about 1:30 p.m. in a Bangladesh Army chopper.

The princess was greeted by representatives of the Swedish Embassy in Dhaka, Police Superintendent Mahfuzur Rahman, and Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shahin Imran of Cox's Bazar.

She first proceeded to the World Food Programme and UNHCR e-voucher outlets for registration and food distribution at the Camp 4 expansion after arriving at the Rohingya camp.
Following that, she visited the Multi-Purpose Women's Centre at Camp 4, which is managed by UN Women and UNFPA, and chatted with the Rohingya women.

Then, she visited the UNHCR-run Camp 5 skill development training programme, where she saw a bakery and chatted with the women working there as they processed jute goods.

She also went to the Cultural Memory Centre for Rohingya.
