Dhaka, Sept 16 (V7N) – Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has called upon the nation’s youth to channel their intellect, energy, and creativity toward the advancement of society and the country. Speaking at the “Youth Volunteer Award 2025” ceremony on Monday at the Shapla Hall of the Chief Adviser’s Office, he urged young people to make their success a source of inspiration for others, noting that when youth are active, no problem remains unresolved.
Twelve young volunteers were recognized at the event for their contributions to humanitarian service and community development. Yunus highlighted the pivotal role of youth in education, healthcare, environmental protection, poverty alleviation, and social justice, recalling their leadership during the 2024 uprising and their historic role in shaping the nation.
Emphasizing volunteerism, he described it as a pathway to self-improvement, character building, and leadership, urging the awardees to be bold, lead with courage, and pursue innovation for social welfare. He acknowledged the challenges of time, financial pressure, and stress but said the spirit of service makes the effort worthwhile.
Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Ministry Secretary Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam, and award recipient Suraiya Farhana Reshma also spoke at the ceremony.
