Noakhali, Oct 31 (V7N)- Shafiqul Alam, press secretary to the chief advisor, has said that differences among political parties will not affect the upcoming national elections.

He made the remarks at a program organized by the July Kanya Foundation at Noakhali University of Science and Technology on Friday afternoon.

The press secretary said that the chief advisor will make the final decision on the referendum, and emphasized that elections will be held before February 15. “The interim government is committed to holding the elections in the first half of February, and no one has the authority to postpone them,” he added.

He also noted that preparations for the elections are progressing in full swing and urged citizens to remain patient. Commenting on the current situation, he said that the law and order in the country is under control.
